What is Thiamidol?

Thiamidol is a revolutionary and unique active ingredient that reduces the dark marks and pigment spots also known as hyperpigmentation, a common skin concern. Acting at the root cause of hyperpigmentation, it works by reducing melanin production.
Thiamidol is a patented ingredient, developed by Eucerin, which is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce pigment spots and prevent their reappearance.  It’s the result of 10 years of research and over 50,000 tested ingredients, and you can find it as a key ingredient in many of our skincare products.

Extremely strong inhibition of tyrosinase activity

Thiamidol's most outstanding ability is the super strong inhibition of tyrosinase activity. As we all know, the key to skin darkening and melanin synthesis is tyrosinase activity, which is widely researched and applied in the cosmetic industry, and arbutin is a classic tyrosinase inhibiting ingredient. The data of inhibiting human tyrosinase (human tyr osinase, hTyr) is 20 times stronger than 4-butylresorcinol, 120 times stronger than 377 (phenylethylresorcinol), and 500 times stronger than tretinoin.

Whitening and Spot Reduction
Studies have shown that after one month of using Thiamidol, pigmentation has faded significantly, and after 3 months of continuous use, it has basically disappeared. In addition to stubborn pigmentation, Thiamidol is also very effective for pigmentation caused by inflammatory skin reactions. From this point of view, if you have dark acne marks, then Thiamidol will be perfect for you. In tests, pigmentation caused by inflammatory reactions improved significantly after just two weeks of using Thiamidol.
Thiamidol is a multi-functional skincare ingredient widely used in various cosmetics and skincare products. Here are some applications of Thiamidol:
1. Whitening: Thiamidol can inhibit the production of melanin, reduce the number of blemishes and melanin, and make the skin tone more even, thus often used in whitening products.
2. Anti-aging: Thiamidol can promote the synthesis of collagen, increase skin elasticity and firmness, reduce the formation of wrinkles and fine lines, thus used in anti-aging products.
3. Repairing damaged skin: Thiamidol can protect the skin from UV damage, prevent pigmentation, and its antioxidant ability can also help repair damaged skin, thus used in products that repair damaged skin.
4. Improving skin radiance: Thiamidol can enhance skin brightness and radiance, making the skin more luminous and glowing.
